About COurse

Aim

This course is designed to meet further emergency training requirements for oil and gas industry personnel to practice and demonstrate emergency response skills which are not covered during drills, exercises and emergency offshore training. The training includes the use of a compressed air emergency breathing system (CA-EBS) which may be used during offshore helicopter travel.Delegates will be required to demonstrate their level of knowledge and understanding of the training course content.

Target audience

This course is designed to meet the initial offshore safety and emergency response training requirements for personnel in the offshore oil and gas industry that have already taken a BOSIET course.

Delegates pre-requisites

Medical certificate required. Delegates must have an in-date OPITO approved BOSIET EBS, BOSIET CA-EBS, Digital BOSIET EBS, Digital BOSIET CA-EBS, FOET, or FOET CA-EBS certificate or equivalent.

Physical and stressful demands

Training activities contained within the OPITO standards may include physically demanding and potentially stressful elements. All personnel who participate must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully. The Centre shall keep a record of the delegate’s/candidate’s declaration of fitness in accordance with their document control policy or procedures.

Further Offshore Emergency Training with Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) (5850) Valid for 4 years Must be renewed prior to expiry date by attending a FOET course otherwise a full BOSIET is required
